a bit of r&r...

About 2 weeks after the wedding saw us jet-setting off out of our dear country to enjoy some time of rest and relaxation in Bali. We were only there for 5 days but we had a great time getting to know a new culture and exploring different places, eating yummy food and spending time relaxing by the pool at our villa.

The kids did really well too! Being only young Eden spent a lot of the time sleeping while being carried around in a sling, so that was easy, while Xavier took in a lot of what was going on around him. The people loved him! He constantly had people around him wanting to entertain him. It was really cute seeing him interact with the Balinese people. We really enjoyed our time there and look forward to going back some day! Thanks J&S for the holiday together - we'd love to do it again one day!

family time...

December was a wonderful month filled with lots of laughter and fun with family. We were lucky to enjoy the company of our far away family who came to WA for C&C's wedding.

The wedding was wonderful, the bride looking beautiful of course and the groom scrubbing up pretty good too :) Of course i must add the groomsmen also looked great :) Especially one of them! That of course being my biased opinion as wife :) All in all a fun day filled with laughter and happiness as we could witness the marriage two wonderful people.

And it was so much fun spending time with Luke, Em and Asher while they stayed with us. We loved all the awesome cuddles with out dear little nephew. He sure charmed us with that adorable smile! We love you Asher...and wish we could just pop over for cuddles. It was so cute to see Asher and Eden together too. Its so much fun having two kiddies in the house that are so similar in age! And Xavier was so cute always trying to entertain Asher, putting his dummy back in, and just generally concerned that "Ashish was ok :) A protective cousin already!

And of course the quality family time we could spend all together. Xavier could be reacquainted with big cousin Amali again and they had lots of fun together. We could meet our other precious nephew Taj for the first time and enjoy big cuddles with him too. If was really nice being able to see every one again. We miss you all!

X turns 2...

A bit before Christmas..but I still want to include a post especially for our little man...

On November 20th our precious and delightful little boy turned 2 years old! This time he had more of an understanding of what birthdays mean! More in the lines of he would get some presents to unwrap and have the best time with. He just loved unwrapping his presents and we spoilt him with some of his favourite things...ie Thomas the Tank Engine accessories...which meant heard many happy squeals as he saw them all! It makes it so worth while seeing such joy on their faces!
As his birthday was on a Sunday we celebrated as a family and some extended family with a birthday dinner and cake complete with some balloons to complete the festive vibe.

Then the weekend following we threw our little man a party! Of course we went with the Thomas theme all round and he loved it! He had a ball of a time running around with his little friends, eating lots of yummy food and cutting his Thomas cake. He also got totally spoilt again, and we thank all who came for all your wonderful gifts! He has hours of entertainment ahead of him!

We are so blessed to be parents of a wonderful little boy! God bless ya son!! We love you to the moon and back! :)

catch up time...

i've been way to slack in updating this blog since christmas time - which feels like a lifetime ago. So i'll endeavour to put up a few blog posts about the goings on of this family since then!
