On the weekend after xavier's birthday we celebrated with friends & family down at the beach. it was a great morning and even the random thunderstorm didn't stop the party fun. xavier got spoilt rotten and had a great time with all his little friends.

lately...

i feel like ive been living life in the fast lane over the past week. it was one crazy busy but fun filled week. We celebrated our little mans birthday and then on thursday we could pick up aunty em & asher from the airport and spend a lovely few days with them! It was great catching up again and seeing that gorgeous little munchkin again!

And in any spare moment i was busy planning the little man's big party for Saturday! I love party planning, writing lists, making goodies and seeing how excited xavier was getting as he knew his party was getting closer. He gets birthdays now and its such a joy to see his excited little face. So Saturday dawned and we headed on down to Woodman Point for his little sailor party. And fun he had! And even a random thunderstorm and crazy downpour couldn't damper the party spirit. The clouds parted and the sun came out to shine shortly after and the fun kept going. LIttle man was spoilt, party food devoured and happy kids played. All in all it was a great morning. Now i can finally start thinking about getting organised for our Tasmania trip in a couple weeks! Can't wait to have some long, uninterrupted family time together while catching up with the rest of the family & friends. Bring it! Hope everyone is keeping happy and healthy..and getting ready for the end of the year! It sure is creeping up awfully fast! xx

3 years!

Happy Birthday to our spunky little man! Today we can celebrate our firstborn's 3rd birthday! Wow those years have gone by so quickly, but we are so blessed to have this little guy in our lives. He is so full of energy, full of life, but so full of love too. He make us laugh a lot & melts our hearts with his precious little sayings.

time flies...

Ive said it before, and Im saying it again...time flies. And especially at this time of the year. Why is it that life suddenly takes on such an urgency at this time of the year!? November is full on month for us with 3 family birthdays in the month. First my wonderful hubs could celebrate another year of life. So very thankful to have a wonderful hubby and father to our little blessings. Second birthday was my dads. We are so blessed to celebrate his 60th birthday! We love you Dad/Grandad and pray that God will bless you will many more years with us all. And the third birthday of the month we hope to celebrate next week... the 3rd Birthday of our little man! (But more on that on another post next week!) We have been keeping busy doing many different things lately, playgroups, playdates, and of course the normal day to day activities. The gorgeous weather we have being having lately has been great and we've been making the most of it! Well ill leave you with some pics of the ever busy, ever growing little people in our lives.

the special bond...

one thing ive always wished for, and pray for, is that special bond for my children to have with each other. Seeing as there is 6 years between my brother and i we didn't really have that close bond growing up. i was just the annoying little sister that tried to keep up! but now that our kids are fairly close and will grow up with only 20 months between them i really hope they grow up as best friends.

the other morning my heart melted when i walked into the toy room and saw big brother reading a book to little sister. how precious. yes they fight, but they also love each other a lot. Xavier is quite the protective brother of his little sister and i truly hope it stays that way forever!

Motherhood...i love my being a mum, and there are just some things that make me ever so thankful for my little blessings when i find little things like this..

My dear little daughter left me a surprise in the washing machine. I often find her putting things in and out of the machine and she must of thought Mr Giraffe wanted to have a snooze in there for a while..

bit of yumminess...

winter...spring...winter... that what the weather has been doing to us lately. completely throwing me out. but the rain that we had this morning made me feel like hopping into the kitchen and doing some baking. Every monday we go to my parents house and my darling mother cooks us yummy dinner. so this week i decided to take dessert...an old favourite - apple crumble. hmmmm...

i recently came across a recipe that suggested putting coconut into the mixture, so i have tried that today. I'll let you know if it changes the taste.. my guess is that it'll be pretty good :) Of course best served with icecream...xavier is already hanging out to eat it! i think he just wants the ice cream though!!

spring has sprung...

Even though as i write this its bucketing down with rain... in the last few weeks we've been blessed with some beautiful spring weather! And all that glorious sunshine meant the kids spent most of their waking hours playing outside, meaning I could get some spring cleaning and organising done! I have way to many ideas and dreams i what i would like to do in our house, but as always money factors in and your have to think of what you can do cheaper! So far i've spring cleaned the linen, the pantry and have started on the playroom. I still have to make more labels for in my pantry, and trial where things are but for now i don't have to hear "Honey, where's the ........?" from the dear hubby because he can just look for the labels :)

sunshine and seagulls...

Well the sunshine was too tempting today so we had to go out and enjoy it. So we together with Grandma the kids and I headed down to Rockingham foreshore. We went for a nice long stroll and then had a nice play on the toys and grass. And i thought we'd be staying nice and dry but Xavier pleaded ever so sweetly to go down to the water so i got sucked in...and i could've guessed that we wouldnt stay dry! Xavier jumped straight in the water, no hesitation at all! And as for Eden - well that little raggamuffin has no fear of anything!! She ran straight to the water! And loved it! The kids had so much splish splashing as xavier called it :) So after all that splish splashing it was time for a picnic on the grass. It was a really good morning and the kids crashed out in the car 2 mins down the road! Sorry about the quality of the photos.. i forgot the camera and my phone must of had a bit of moisture in it!

We're going to the zoo zoo zoo...

Well the day finally arrived that xavier had been holding his breath for :) Hubby and i went away for the weekend to Busselton (more on that in a different post) and then on the monday we took the kids to the ZOO! we had an awesome day! the weather was perfect and we got to see most of the animals too. xavier was in his element, big animals, wild animals, funny monkeys, big snakes...you name it, he loved it! Eden also loved it, and sat happily in her pram for most of the day. Needless to say they both crashed out at the end of the day when we hopped in the car. We didnt get too many photos as we spent the time looking at the animals with the kids but thats ok. we had a perfect family day topped off by going out for dinner to outback jacks. i think it made the kids forget that we had just desserted them the days before ;o)

hoedown of the year..

last weekend was one fabulous weekend! we were invited to the annual Gemmill Homes Variety Ball with some wonderful family members, and had a roaring good time of eating yummy foods, laughing till we cried, dancing our little legs off and of course digging into our purses for the wonderful charity. it was so beautiful to see people so generously giving so that many families and special children can be provided with necessary things needed for daily life. the variety club does a wonderful job. the theme for this years ball was HOEDOWN! So we yeehaa'd and whooped our way throughout a fabulous night, one that we will never forget! thanks to our wonderful uncles&aunty's for inviting us! and to all the others for such an awesome night!

weekend love...

Its been a long time coming, but we finally had a chance to go out as a family last saturday. With the hubs working 6 days a week for a very long time, it was so good to have him home by 3pm for a change on a saturday. and because it was such fabulous weather we decided to go to Freo for a couple hours. It was really good to be together as our little family and have some good quality time. it was a good night. we had a yummy dinner. ate some yummy icecream to celebrate the 1st birthday of our spunky lil nephew in tasmania (happy birthday asher!) and then had a play at the park in the moonlight. playing at the park at night is just so different than during the day and the kids loved it. i dont really have any good photos, but i snapped a few on my phone (in the dark) just to capture some memories of fun family time. love my little family. they mean the world to me. sleepless night, sick kids and a hubby that has been working a lot... it all melts away when your swinging on the swings watching the stars. i'd recommend you give it a go :)

blessed with another year...

today i am blessed to be able to celebrate my birthday. 24 years old, wonderful caring husband who provides for us every day, a spunky, affectionate little man & and beautiful precious princess of a daughter.. i am richly blessed. and not only all of that, but wonderful extended family and friends who are there for me, catching up for coffee, chatting over dinner & drinks or casually having a natter over the phone. i am very thankful that God has been with me over the last years of my life and pray that he will continue to guide me as i be a godly wife, mother, daughter, sister & friend. i had a few friends over to enjoy a morning tea together this morning. thanks ladies for helping me make my day special. tonight we hope to go out for dinner with some of the extended family.. can't wait :) xx

here, there, everywhere...

its been such delightful weather this winter..and im just loving all the wonderful sunshine we're been getting. i know we need the rain badly, but i'm definitely enjoying the glorious sun. its so much more helpful getting kids/pram/belongings in and out of the car when its not bucketing down. so we have a done a few things lately. we've spent mornings down at the park, a bit of shopping, spending time at grandma's playing outside and last friday we went to the baby expo in claremont. its been nice getting out and about rather than spending every day at home. so while we pray for rain here to fill our dams and help the crops let us all be joyful that we are given some wonderful weather also. as this also is from His hand.

pink party fever...

To celebrate our gorgeous girl's 1st birthday we put on a little party. theme: pink . i had a lot of fun planning, baking, making and executing the party. my dear SIL so kindly assisted me with the baking of some yummy treats which were a great hit and tasted delish! the weather was just perfect too, a stunning 23deg day in the middle of winter! so blessed! it was a wonderful day spent celebrating with dear family and friends. on the night of her actual birthday we had close family come over for a nice dinner and dessert. we had a great time celebrating our little miss's 1st year, even if she had no idea what the fuss was all about. but she is loving all her wonderful gifts. so spoilt! :)

one year gone by...

time flies...fast. its already been one whole year since we could welcome our beautiful little girl into the world. so much to reflect on! our little Eden Skylar was a wonderful blessing to our little family. she has always been relatively quiet and easy going, though lately she has really come out of her shell and has become a lot more vocal! but its so much fun watching them grow and seeing their personality shine. about eden: she is nearly walking. she is always pushing something in front of her. she now has 5 teeth. she can say a couple words, and many sound combinations. she claps hands. she says hurray and does the actions. she loves songs and does a few actions to some songs. she loves outdoors and getting grubby in the sand. she loves trying to keep up with her big brother which sometimes ends in tears. but all in all our little princess is a blossoming little girl which we love and adore. im back again...

finally...after a crazy month i finally feel as though we're back on track again! We seem to have banished the bugs from our house at last and the family is mostly happy and healthy again! we are super excited to have my parents back again after their trip to europe. they had a fantastic time, but i do prefer them being in australia :) especially when my kiddies are sick and mummy feels like having an afternoon nap in peace and quiet and possibly longer than 10 mins.....but anyway where were we.... :) this month also proves to be busy.. our little miss turns ONE in a couple weeks time already! It feels like i've blinked and she's all grown up already! Where did my little itty bitty baby go?!? So i've been busy party planning and can't wait for her party & birthday. I love birthdays! little boys...

Well Im back again!! The last few weeks have been very hectic here! We battled through gastro and now the horrid cold/flu season is upon us and the kids have both come down with it. As i sit here during nap time all i can hear is nasty coughs coming from both the kiddies rooms :( Poor little Eden is quite unwell with a terrible chesty cough, but she is a little trooper and is still giving us lots of smiles. The weather has also taken a bit of a turn here in the last two days and we no longer have that beautiful sunshine we had been thoroughly enjoying! But that doesn't stop xavier from going outside, and any moment the rain stops he is out playing in his sandpit again. That boy LOVES his sandpit. He spends ages in there playing with stuff (yes he plays with any bits & bobs he finds) and just does the general boy stuff. I love sitting down near him and watching him play. He is constantly jabbering away and his vivid imagination brings him on many journeys. From building roads, to climbing big big mountains, to driving loaders and flying in super fast rockets, that boy thinks of it all! Its so great to watch them grow up and turn into their own little person. Our boy is extremely full on most of the time, so watching him play so nicely outside by himself is a wonderful thing. He truly is full of character!
