mothers day...
A MOTHERS LOVE
I am your PARENT, you are my CHILD
I am your QUIET PLACE, you are my WILD
I am your CALM FACE, you are my GIGGLE
I am your WAIT, you are my WIGGLE
I am your DINNER, you are my CHOCOLATE CAKE
I am your BEDTIME, you are my WIDE AWAKE
I am your LULLABY, you are my PEEKABOO
I am your GOODNIGHT KISS, you are my I LOVE YOU

That poem rings so true to me as a mummy, as sometimes it feels as though your kids always want something different than you do. But i wouldn't change being a mummy for the world - i love my two little darlings more than anything. when they wrap their little arms around me and give me a snuggle, when i hear those 4 precious words "I love you mummy".. my heart melts every time. So for me every day is mothers day as i get to enjoy being a mummy every single day.
But i did also get spoilt too by my little darlings and now my kitchen sports a brand new toaster :)
i love you xavier blaede & eden skylar. it is my prayer that we may spend many more loving years together. xx
And also Happy Mothers Day to my Mum. I love you Mum. thankyou for all you have done and continually do for me. you are a constant listening ear and source of good advice whenever i need it. you've taught me how to be a good wife and mother and how to take care of my family all while putting God first. thank also for being a wonderful Grandma to our kids. we love you grandma!
And to my Mother-in-law also a very Happy Mothers Day. We wish we could pop over to share the day with you, but you were in our thoughts and hearts. thankyou for bringing up my husband to be the God-fearing man that he is today. we are ever so thankful and happy to call him our husband and daddy. it was great to see you again the other week. thanks for spoiling us all with lovely little gifts. we can't wait to see you again at the end of the year! we love you oma!
I hope that all the mummy's out there had a wonderful day surrounded with much joy and happiness with your loved ones.

Set for a Princess...
Over the last few weeks I have been doing a few more bits and pieces to complete our little girls room. There are a few more ideas i am thinking of doing but for now im happy with how its looking. I love how the bits and pieces are special and the memories that are attached mean its more precious.
I just LOVE the WallArt we put up. Blowing dandelions are always fun, and i love watching them float away on the breeze.
Its set up above her cot so her dreams can float away like a dandelion... :)
I just love these floating shelves so i knew i wanted to put them up in the kids rooms. I painted the 'dream' wooden word, as we all love to dream :) The owl canvas i just couldn't resist as its super cute and the teddy was a gift she got as a baby so to turn it into a girly bear, I made the pink tutu from tulle and added a pink flower.
The other floating shelf is on the other side of the room above the change table. This is a shelf of memories. The two gorgeous dresses are ones that Eden has worn to two special weddings. The pink one was the one she wore to Aunty Colleen & Uncle Doug's wedding when she was just 10 weeks old. And the white one was for Uncle Caleb & Aunty Carlien's wedding last December. The parasols on the shelf are from our wedding and Im sure she will love playing and using them for dress ups when she is older. And the sparkly shoes were a gift from Aunty Bianca when she was born and i think they are super cute! Eden wears them for church and parties when one must look pretty :)
The lamp shade was just a plain simple white one that i bought from a cheap dollar store and added some ribbon for some simple effect. I have a few more ideas of what i might do with it, but for now its like that.
And last but not least every nursery needs a comfy chair to sit in for those late night feeds (which thankfully I don't do anymore!) or for any precious cuddles and love during a bad dream or a bad night teething.
so there it is..a room set for a princess! There is more in there too, such as a wardrobe and a changetable/chest of drawers but i didn't think that would of as much interest :)
Well thats all from me for now! Hope you enjoyed the tour :)

grandmothers are grand..
Today was grandmothers day...well for us anyway :)
We are greatly enjoying spending time with hubby's mother while she is over this side of the country at the moment. Its been great catching up with her, and allowing the kids to spend more time getting to know her again.
Today we picked up grandma (my mum) and oma (b's mum) and headed off for a morning at the park. It was a great morning and xavier just thought it was super dooper having both his grandmothers to play with!!
And Eden loved all the extra cuddles too :)
