Little Miss turns 2...

Backtrack in time...about a month back...

On July 25th we were blessed to be able to celebrate Eden's 2nd Birthday. The last year has flown by and our little girl has blossomed into a little lady. She chats away pretty much non-stop and is putting words into sentences. She knows how to assert herself and we often hear her say "Mine did it" meaning "I will do it". Its so fun watching their little characters grow!

We had a wonderful day celebrating her day. We celebrated on the day with family and on the weekend we threw a little party for her with friends. It was a wonderful afternoon and little missy got spoilt.

I apologise for the terrible quality of the photos. Sadly all the photos that were taken with the camera ended up blurry, so i only have photos that i took with my iphone :(

roadtrippin'...

Just last week the kids and I together with my mum did a overnight stay in Albany to visit some family. Quite the way to travel with two munchkins for just one night but they are pretty good travellers.

We had a really nice 2 days visiting family, catching up over dinner and coffee and letting the kiddies get to know each other again. My two also loved having the chance to feed all the animals on Aunty M's little farm. And waking up to such a beautiful view in the morning was so peaceful. Made such a wonderful change from our colourbond fence!!

Overall definitely worth while driving the 8 hours!

little missy...

Love my precious little girl. She is really growing up to be little lady with her own little personality.

I recently got to spend an afternoon with just her and we had a great time doing girly things and having a play at the park.
She is my little mother hen who loves babies, but at the same time total bush piggy who loves getting outside and playing in water and dirt.
She is no way will want to miss out and tries to keep up with EVERYTHING her big brother does. Which more times than not ends up in tears and frustration.

imagination...

There are so many times when i sit back and try and soak up all the little (and big) things that our kids are learning each and every day. And i wish i could remember all the funny and quirky things that xavier says, or the new things that eden learns each day. I'd like to think i do, but i know there are too many. Their minds are such sponges.

Well back to the point of this post. One morning last week, while i was sitting down to my morning latte, xavier came and sat near my feet and said "Mum, just you sit there and watch out ok. I've just got to do some welding. I promise i wont be long."

And this is what he promptly did next.



That kid has the most awesome imagination. i love it.

another lately...

hmm i smell a growing trend. Here comes another 'lately' post. I should really try and stay up to date with regular posts but time really does disappear out the door so quickly.

oh hi!

hi! im back! had quite the stroke of bad luck in the tech area in last few months. computer pooped and then my laptop didn't like going on the airplane & the battery burst...BUT that all aside now, im back and running again with a nice new shiny battery thanks to my ever wonderful, techy know all hubby :) and now its april already... So heres for a bit of back tracking. End of last year/early Jan saw us jetsetting of to the wonderful isle of Tasmania for a gorgeous couples wedding and a few weeks with the other side of the fam jam. It was a wonderful 3 weeks. Full of adventures, family dinners, cousin playdates and a wonderful wedding. It was so great seeing the kids having a great time with their cousins, they really miss them over here. and then we were back and normal life kicked back in again. Hubby back at work, playgroups, playdates, house duties. Though it has seemed as though life has been rattling on a hundred miles an hour. But there's no complaints, we are all happy and healthy and the kidlets are growing and changing every day. Keeping my life busy and full of reason to go on every day. i love them. well i will be off now. My body begs for sleep. Till next time. xx
