Precious Poppet...

Little Eden Skylar is now 12 weeks old! She is such a happy, smiley little girl who brings immense joy to us & her big brother. We are always rewarded with big smiles when ever we look at her and she loves having little chats with whoever is giving her cuddles! Love our little girl..

Playdate...

The other day Aloise and Summer came over for a playdate! So cute seeing the little girls together, especially since Aloise and I grew up together being the same age too.

We tried taking a few pics of the girls - but boy is it hard trying to get two babies to both look in the same direction at the same time! :) But its all about memories for Eden & Summer to look back on in the years to come!

Our little big man...

Our little boy is growing up so fast. He turns 2 in a couple weeks already! The time has gone so fast, and our little man has changed our lives so much. Super strong-willed, full of character, but also such a funny, comical boy, who always has us laughing along with him! :)

We love our little ginger ninja and wouldn't change him for the world. We are looking forward to watching him grow up and see who he will become, but for now we are enjoying him just the way he is!

Blessings...

Well our youngest little blessing is already 7 weeks old! Time really does fly when your having fun :)
The latest stats are:
Weight: 4.5kgs
Length: 57cm
She is still an easy baby most of the time and we are all really enjoying our little girl a lot. She is rewarding us with lits of gorgeous smiles every day. They are so precious and just makes my day every time. Xavier is doting on his little sister. He will sit on the couch and pat his lap wanting me to give him eden to cuddle. He will then not want to give her back even if she cries. Its just too cute! He wraps his arms around her all protectively. I hope he keeps it up for the rest of his life - and looks after his baby sister always!

A Baby Girl...

A little over 4 weeks ago now, we we were truly blessed with a new baby daughter. Eden Skylar was born on the 25th July, at 3.01pm after a short labour. She weighed 3.44kg (7lb 9oz) and was 52cm long. She has been such a joy and we are really enjoying our little precious princess! She has also been welcomed with much love by her big brother Xavier too!

life at this home front...

Well, so its been AGES since i last posted a blog post on here. But there has been a reason. We have had no internet here so my whole internet world has been different! But i've learned that i can cope without facebook! Didn't think i would, but i was pleasantly surprised with myself! I think it was a real blessing because it taught me to rest more while Xavier was sleeping his little nap every day, and i think its something my body is thanking me for now!

But things have still been happening around here. Xavier is growing up more and more. He now says so many more words and surprises me every day with little things that he has picked up. Its really a fun age watching them grow and learn. He is a real comedian too and cracks me up all the time with some of his querky habits!
On the baby front, things have also been progressing well. I am now 3 days away from being 38 weeks! So we're getting there! =) Everything is pretty much ready for this bubs to make its grand entrance into the world. And by grand i mean, quickly and easily! (fingers crossed!) I so can't wait to see if its a boy or a girl! The suspense is killing me now! i just wanna know!! But i'll just have to practice patience for the next 2 or so weeks!

We even managed a little get away the other weekend to Albany. We went to join in Abel & Rose's wedding celebrations. It was a fabulous weekend. The wedding was beautiful, Rose looked stunning and we had lots of fun joining in the celebrations. It was also nice to celebrate Mum's birthday while we were down there and we went out for breakfast to celebrate it together. We went from the Friday to Monday so it was a good little break. Xavier is a good traveller so it made it so much easier! We didn't pull out the camera though, so sorry no photos unfortunately.

But apart from that we have just been moving on with life, doing day to day things and little outings here and there to entertain our little man..
Hopefully now with the internet back i can update this blog a little more often....and hopefully the next post will be about welcoming our new little addition into our family!!! =)

another first...

Xavier went to the hair dressers last night for the very first time! And he was perfect! I plopped him on the chair and he reached over for the cape and tried putting it on! AND he sat still the whole time she cut his hair. And he just had this adorable little face while she was doing it. He didn't change his expression till we were out of there. We were very proud of him - as he doesn't usually sit still for very long periods of time! So now we have a new look in the house, I'l try post a nice photo of his new hair style when he sits still for me....until then... here's a pic of him getting it cut!

The other day we could enjoy catching up with some fabulous friends again. It was a beautiful day of relaxing and chit chat, thanks again L&J! We really enjoyed it. In between the relaxing and chit chat we also ran around trying to get some photos of our growing little man - and it proved to be more difficult than i thought it would be. Thanks again Leon for taking some of him for us. I'll work on his 'sitting still while smiling politely pose' so it might be easier next time! :D

splish splash splosh...

Since the weather has stayed a very un-desirable HOT, I've been using the clam shell pool so that Xavier stays cool for at least an hour a day! He is such a water baby - loves water of any kind and will stay in there even when he is turning purple! He loves to make an absolute mess but in this weather water evaporates before it hits the ground so its okay. This afternoon the pool kind of turned into a soup - water + rocks + sand + bugs is apparently the way to go! Trust me even if the pool was bigger i wouldn't plan on sitting in that! But Xav loves it and has a grand ol' time splashing away. And if Xavier's happy then Mummy's happy too! :)

funny boy...

Sometimes I do wonder about some of the weird and wonderful things that our little boy does! I am struggling to get a cute photo of him lately as he loves to do his little 'asian eyes' and mega cheesy grin! It's actually kinda cute and really cracks me up every time he does it! Thats probably why he keeps doing it! I know the photo is bad quality - thats what a computer cam does! But you'll get the idea...oh and excuse my face - i had to pin him down to get the photo un-blurry!

It is with much joy that we can share with all that we are expecting another little blessing who will D.V make his/her arrival into this big wide world at the end of July 2011! We are very excited and hope the time passes quickly so that we can make our little family into four and Xavier into a big brother!
